Obituary for David Emerson Banks

1929 – 2018
Peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the Salvation Army Grace Manor, Ottawa. Survived by his niece Margaret, nephew Tony (Isabel) and their children Beatriz, Ian and Yesi. Graduating from McGill University, he then went on to study in Paris. After returning to Canada, he spent his entire career at the National Library of Canada in Ottawa as a bilingual librarian.
David loved to walk, cycle and spend time with his extended family and many friends. A special thank you to the staff of the Salvation Army Grace Manor, Ottawa for their care and compassion.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army Grace Manor, Ottawa would be appreciated.
