Obituary for Margaret Patricia Maule (Prindiville)

Margaret Patricia Maule (née Prindiville) - March 3, 1922 - May 6, 2019

Margaret passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 6 with family by her side. During her final days she was surrounded by her many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margaret is predeceased by her beloved husband Eric, and son Richard and grandson James Irwin.

Margaret was born on March 3, 1922, in Ottawa, eldest daughter of Elsie and Edmund Prindiville (deceased). She is the sister of Betty Prindiville, Richard (Gertrude) Prindiville, John (Dell) Prindiville (deceased), and Violet Prindiville (deceased).

She is dearly missed by her children, Beverley Irwin (Paul Irwin - deceased), Donald Maule, David Maule (Susan Gaden), Janet Maule, Robert Maule (Katrina Prystupa), Bruce Maule (Gaye Gould), Brian Maule (Katya Maule), grandchildren Charles Irwin (Kate Irwin), Ian Maule, Erik Higgins (Ariane Matteau), Tegan Maule, Robin Maule, Graham Gould Maule, Gregory Gould Maule, Stephanie Prystupa-Maule, Nikolas Prystupa-Maule, Catherine Prystupa-Maule, Jimena Maule, Santiago Maule and great-grandchildren Daniel Irwin, Maxwell Irwin, Alexandra (Lexy) Irwin, and Charlie Higgins.

Margaret had a beautiful creative spirit demonstrated through her many craft projects. She was adventuresome and enjoyed her Sunday family tour groups and picnics. She was defined by her dedication to family, and took pride in being an inspiration on how to age gracefully, showing determination to the end.

Margaret was an inspirational figure in the lives of her family and friends. Margaret was athletic and adventuresome, successfully raised eight children.

We are inspired by her determination and independence, an independence that she maintained until the very end.

Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Thursday, May 9 from 7 -9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday May 10 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. In Memoriam donations to the Good Companions appreciated.
